Representatives of leading tourism companies, public-political and cultural-humanitarian circles, as well as mass media of India participated at the event.

Jason news agency said that participants received information on development of tourism industry in Uzbekistan and achievements of tourism sector of the country. Special attention was paid to the efforts of the Uzbek government directed at creating favorable conditions for development of tourism infrastructure and expanding cooperation with foreign partners. It was underlined that the government pays special attention to preserving historic-cultural heritage.

Uzbekistan has over 4,000 architectural monuments, many of which are included to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Uzbekistan carried out rehabilitation and reconstruction of these monuments, and constructed new hotels. It also improved training specialists for the sector.

Participants of the event expressed interest in further expanding and deepening of cooperation with the Uzbek partners in tourism sector.
