Representatives of leading tourism companies, railway and airline companies, hotels and entertainment centers from 40 countries participated at the event, Jahon news agency reported.
Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium and the French-Belgium firm KMS-Central Asia presented tourism potential of Uzbekistan and historic-cultural heritage of the country at the fair.
The participants were familiarized with tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan, measures on developing tourism, preserving historic monuments, etc. A film about Uzbekistan was presented at the event.
KMS-Central Asia representative Martin Noel said that BTExpo Travel is attended by specialists of tourism industry to establish business contacts for new season and offer attractive products to the clients.
Martin Noel said that Uzbekistan is attractive for European tourists as it has unique flora and fauna, ancient culture and traditions. Tourists from Europe pay great attention to quality of hotel, transport, catering, guide services, which are in high level in the country.
Manager of Belgian company Easy Tours Emmanuel Inglima underlined that Uzbekistan pays great attention to development of tourism. The country constructed comfortable hotels, reconstructed historic monuments. Inglima said that interest of Europe to Uzbekistan as the country at the Great Silk Road is increasing.
