Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tel Aviv, Israel, is hosting the International Mediterranean Tourism Fair (IMTM 2023).
The fair is also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, State Unitary Enterprise National PR-center, Uzbekistan Airways and travel companies.
Today, within the framework of the fair, the presentation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Uzbekistan – The Crossroad of Civilizations. Tourism Potential of Uzbekistan. This presentation made a great impression on foreign experts and guests.
“The presentation of Uzbekistan at the fair looked different than that of other delegations. “I am aware of the place of your Motherland in history and rich cultural heritage,” said Marina Kovalerchik, head of the travel company MSC Cruises in Israel. - After today’s presentation, my idea of staying in Uzbekistan and implementing new projects related to it has become even more solid. Here I exchanged views with tourism organizations on the expansion of European visits to Uzbekistan.”
In addition, a joint presentation on the topic "Gastronomy of Uzbekistan" was held by the famous Uzbek chef Bakhriddin Chusti and Israeli chef Israel Aharoni, a descendant of Bukharian Jews. At the end of the presentation, a master class was also organized. Also, participants and guests of the fair tasted Uzbek national dishes. National and musical performances of Uzbek singers and soloists impressed foreign participants even more.
It should be noted that such countries as Belarus, Montenegro, Hungary, France, Greece, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovakia, Georgia, South Korea, Czech Republic, Spain also take part in the fair. In total, more than 25,000 guests take part in the exhibition.
It should be noted that within the framework of the fair tomorrow, on 15 February, a presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan will take place at the Ennis Culture Center.
At the international exhibition IMTM-2023, business meetings and negotiations with Israeli tour operators on the implementation of joint tours are planned, as well as familiarization with the conditions for participation in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair TXTY-2023, which will be held in November this year in Tashkent.
IMTM is the professional exhibition for the Israeli tourism industry and the most important and largest tourism fair in the Eastern Mediterranean. Uzbekistan has been participating in IMTM since 2017.
