Representatives of Malaysian Council on Tourism Promotion, Management of International Marketing Council, Sazean Group, heads of tourism agencies, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari office in Malaysia, delegation of Uzbektourism participated at the presentation.
During the presentation, participant familiarized with main stages of development relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, current state and perspectives of development in near future, the report said.
Deputy director-general on marketing of Management of International Marketing Council Amirrudin said the number of Malaysian tourists, visiting Uzbekistan, is increasing due o direct regular flights of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and active work of tourism companies, working in this direction.
He said that soon, Kuala Lampur and Tashkent will host a joint tourism fairs, which will help tourism firms of two states to establish relations and discuss future cooperation plans.
Former Malaysian Tourism Minister Andulkadyr Sheikh Fadzir underlined rich tourism potential of Uzbekistan, which has such museums under open air as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. He called to boost relations between tour operators of Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
