Tourism Committee and Westminster University sign memorandum of understanding
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan and Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding educational and professional opportunities for students and graduates while fostering the development of the country’s tourism industry.
The agreement, signed by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Niyazov and WIUT Rector K. Karimov, outlines key areas of cooperation, including knowledge exchange, promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, and support for young professionals.
One of the main focuses of the partnership is workforce development—WIUT students and graduates will have the opportunity to undertake internships at the Tourism Committee and its regional offices.
Additionally, the collaboration will feature lectures, seminars, and masterclasses led by industry experts, providing students with up-to-date knowledge and practical experience to enhance their careers in the tourism sector.
