Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiyev and Jun Saotome, the Director General of the Economic Development Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The meeting took place during Uzbekistan's participation with a national booth at the Tourism Expo Japan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further active cooperation between Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee and JICA.

Specifically, the discussions focused on sending experts and consultants to Uzbekistan for tourism development, training Japanese guides and translators, assisting with the professional retraining of personnel in the hospitality sector, and implementing infrastructure projects in tourism.
