Total revenue of ICT industry of Uzbekistan makes up 1.321 trillion soums

Total revenue of information-communication technologies (ICT) industry of Uzbekistan made up 1.321 trillion soums in nine months of 2009, the board of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information said.
The UzACI said the industry’s revenue grew by 27% year-on-year in the reporting period. The volume of services rendered to population rose by 41.6% to 820.5 billion soums.
The agency said the level of digitalization of automatic switching centers made up 90.9%.
It added that 1,864 schools, 364 infant schools, 31 colleges and 98 medical points in rural areas of Uzbekistan were equipped with telephones.
