Total income of population of Uzbekistan reach 43.2 trillion soums in 1Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, the total volume of incomes of the population of Uzbekistan made up 43.2 trillion soums in January-March 2018 or 1.3 million soums per capita on average, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that the growth of total income of the population in real terms made up 10.6%, income per capita - 8.8% compared to the same period last year.

The average nominal aggregate incomes of the population per capita above the average republican level were registered in Tashkent – 3.31 million soums, in Navoi – 2.11 million soums, in Bukhara – 1.41 million soums and Tashkent region – 1.4 million soums.

The high real growth of total income per capita were registered in Khorezm region - 15.1%, in Samarkand region -14.4%, in Surkhandarya region – 13.7%, in Andijan region – 12.6%, in Namangan region -10.4% and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 9.8%.

A significant increase in total aggregate income of the population is mainly contributed by significant changes in income from work (income of employees and self-employment), which account for 59.6% of total revenues and 32.2% of revenues from transfers.

The income from labor activity has a significant weight in the structure of the aggregate income of the population. According to preliminary data for January-March 2018, the share of income from work in the structure of total income of the population was 59.6%, the nominal growth rate of income reached 17.1%. Such a significant share and growth rates during that period contributed to the growth of total aggregate income by about 11.6%.

In turn, income from work is formed from the income of employees and income from self-employment. In January-March 2018 incomes of wage earners increased by 18.3% and amounted to 37.0% of total aggregate income of the population. The largest nominal growth rate of incomes of employees were recorded in Tashkent (+ 23.0%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+ 21.9%), Andijan (+ 21.7%), Khorezm (+ 20.8% ), Navoi (+ 20.3%) and Jizzakh (+ 20.2%) regions.

The next main source of income from employment is income from self-employment. In January-March 2018, the nominal growth rate of incomes of the population from self-employment reached 15.2%.

In the total volume of aggregate incomes of the population, this source of income is significant and its share is 22.6%. The income from self-employment in its specific weight also has a significant impact on the total income of the population. With the growth of income from self-employment by 1%, the total amount of total income increases by 0.26%.

The share of income from self-employment in the regions varies - from 12.3% (in the city of Tashkent) to 30.9% (in the Tashkent region). One third (33.5%) of the income from self-employment comes from Tashkent (12.7%), Samarkand region (10.5%) and Tashkent region (10.3%).

Also one of the sources of income of the population is income from property. According to preliminary results, in January-March 2018, the population received 2.4 trillion soums of income from property. Nominal rates of their growth, compared with the corresponding period of 2017, made up 39.5%.

The share of property income in the total aggregate income of the population reached 5.6%. In turn, income from property consists of interest, dividends, royalties and other property income.

In the structure of the total incomes of the population, the share of income from small business has significant weight in the following regions: Surkhandarya - 51%, Jizzakh - 50.7%, Khorezm - 50.3%, Samarkand - 49.7%, Tashkent - 49.3% Namangan regions - 48.7% and Tashkent - 50.4%.
