Total external debt of Uzbekistan not exceeds 17.5% to GDP

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 January 2012, the total size of external debt of Uzbekistan does not exceed 17.4% to GDP and 53.7% to the exports volume, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on 19 January 2012.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov said that in line with the international criteria this is “less than moderate”.

Islam Karimov said that this shows the correctness and well-thought policy of the government, commercial banks and enterprises of Uzbekistan.
