Total aggregate income of the population reached 114.2 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-March 2022, the total aggregate income of the population reached 114.2 trillion soums, according to preliminary data. 

The State Statistics Committee said that in order to exclude the influence of price factors for the calculation of real growth rates of incomes of the population, the consumer price index (CPI) is used - one of the important types of inflation indicator. Due to changes in consumer prices, the growth rate of the total income of the population, compared to the same period in 2020, in real terms amounted to 105.4%.

In January-March 2022 (for three months), the average per capita nominal total income of the population above the national average was noted in Tashkent city – 7 715.0 thousand soums, Navoi – 5 768.5 thousand soums, Tashkent – 3 772.3 thousand soums, Bukhara – 3 472.9 thousand soums in the regions

In January-March 2022 (for three months), the lowest indicator of the average per capita nominal total income of the population was recorded in Namangan – 2 330.6 thousand soums, Surkhandarya – 2 334.9 thousand soums, the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 2 434.6 thousand soums, as well as in Kashkadarya regions – 2 452.6 thousand soums.

The indicator of real growth in total per capita income for January-March 2022 amounted to 103.3%, the same indicator for January-March 2021 was recorded at 105.6%.

The highest real growth rate was recorded in Navoi - 10.2%, Fergana - 9.4%, Tashkent - 6.5%, Namangan - 3.4% regions. A decrease in real growth rates was noted in the Republic of Karakalpakstan -0.3%, as well as in Surkhandarya -0.4%, Bukhara -0.6%, regions.

Significant growth in the total volume of aggregate income of the population is mainly due to significant changes in income from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment), which account for 62.5% of total income and 26.6% are income from transfers.

In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment) was observed in Tashkent region (73.6%). On the contrary, in Samarkand region, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Surkhandarya, Fergana, Namangan regions, as well as in the city of Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Khorezm and Andijan regions, it was below the national average.

Income from labor activity (income of hired workers and income from selfemployment) has a significant weight in the structure of the total income of the population.

According to preliminary data, in January-March 2022, the share of income from labor activity in the structure of the total income of the population amounted to 62.5%.

The nominal growth rate of income compared to the corresponding period of 2021 reached 116.8% and contributed to the growth of the nominal volume of total income in the order of 10.4%.

The growth rate of incomes of employees in the past period reached 120.0%, which ensured an increase in nominal incomes of the population by 6.3%.

In January-March 2022, the share of the total income of employees among the population amounted to 32.8%.

The highest nominal growth rates of income of employees were noted in Navoi region (126.0%), as well as in Tashkent (123.8%), Kashkadarya (121.8%) regions, Tashkent city (121.1%) and Samarkand (120.9%) region.

The growth rate of income in the past period reached 113.5%, which ensured an increase in the nominal income of the population by 4.1%.

In January-March 2022, the share of total income from selfemployment among the population amounted to 29.6%.

In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from selfemployment was observed in Jizzakh (44.1%), Bukhara (39.4%), Khorezm (37.0%) regions. On the contrary, in the city of Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Navoi region, it was below the national average.

For a 1% increase in selfemployment income, total aggregate income increases by 0.30%.

The largest share of income from self-employment was noted in Tashkent (11.7%), Samarkand (11.3%) and Fergana (9.2%) regions. The regions with the lowest share are Syrdarya region (2.4%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3%) and Navoi region (5.0%).

According to preliminary data, in January-March 2022, the total income from the property of the population amounted to 3.6 trillion soums. In January-March 2022, the share of total property income was 3.1%. The influence of income from property on the change in the total volume of the total income of the population is insignificant, in the order of 0.9%.

Two-thirds of the property income received in January-March 2022 fell to the share of Tashkent city - 52.3%. The next regions with significant weight are Navoi (16.2%), Tashkent (7.4%) and Fergana (3.8%) regions.

The nominal growth rate of property income, according to preliminary data for January-March 2022 compared to the corresponding period in 2021, amounted to 134.9%. The highest growth rates were noted in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 169.2% and Navoi region - 155.1%.

The share of transfers in the total volume of the total income of the population for the specified period amounted to 26.6%. According to preliminary data for January-March 2022, 47.2% of income from transfers came from income from social transfers, 52.8% of income from other current transfers.

The share of pensions in the total volume of social transfers for JanuaryMarch 2022 amounted to 75.6%, benefits - 22.4%, scholarships - 2.0%. Compared to the corresponding period of 2021, the growth rate of pensions in the period under review amounted to 119.1%, benefits - 137.5% and scholarships - 149.7%.

In January-March 2022, 3.2 trillion soums of benefits and material assistance were allocated for social support of the population. Of these, 31.3% of insurance benefits were financed by the off-budget Pension Fund, 68.7% were allocated from the funds of the republican and local budgets.

The nominal growth rate of money transfers from abroad, which are part of other current transfers, for January-March 2022 amounted to 108.0%, and their share, compared to the same period in 2021, in the total income of the population decreased by 1.0 p.p., the change in income from other current transfers ensured an increase in the nominal value of the total income of the population by 1.2%.

The largest share of money transfers in the total income of the population is registered in Samarkand (22.6%) and Fergana (19.1%) regions. It was also high in Andijan (19.0%), Surkhandarya (18.5%), Khorezm (17.4%), Namangan (15.8%) regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan (15.3%), Kashkadarya (14.7%) and Bukhara (14.3%) regions.

According to preliminary data for January-March 2022, out of the total aggregate income of the population, the share of income received from small businesses amounted to 52.5%.

Thus, in the structure of the total income of the regions, it differs: the highest share was noted in Jizzakh region - 61.4%. The smallest share of income received from small businesses was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 45.2%, Tashkent city - 46.0%, Navoi - 47.6%, and Andijan - 51.8% regions.
