Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Toshshahartranskhizmat plans to gradually switch to “green transport”.

Currently, 2,017 buses are in operation in the capital, of which 627 run on diesel fuel, 1,020 on natural gas and 324 on electricity.

The volume of emissions of harmful substances from buses decreased from 5.1 thousand tons in 2022 to 4.8 thousand tons in 2023.

The plan for 2024 includes a further reduction in emissions to 4.6 thousand tons through the launch of 200 new electric buses.

In addition, by 2030 it is planned to modernize 1,200 buses by replacing them with electric buses or installing gas equipment.
