UzA reported that the company installs modern gas meters, which automatically correct temperature and pressure of the gas. The meters gave special protection and thermoregulator to meter gas in standard conditions.

The meters are installed by Toshkentshahargaz and the subscribers can pay for meters in instalments or in one payment. The company said 80% of population gets new meters and 100% of legal entities installed new devices.

The report said that use of new electronic meters is profitable both for the government and consumers. The electronic meters allow to meter consumed volume of gas correctly and make advanced payments with use of flash cards.

Work in underway to ensure technical maintenance and security of use of gas equipment in Tashkent. Toshkentshahargaz check conditions of meters. The meters of individuals are checked one in four years and enterprises – once in two years.
