He will replace Osman Turan at this post. Tõnu Grünberg will assume his duties on 15 September 2014. Prior to appointment he worked as Head of Technology, TeliaSonera Business Area Eurasia.

Erik Hallberg, Executive Vice President and Head of Region Eurasia of TeliaSonera, expressed gratitude to Osman Turan for his contribution to development of the company and wished success in future tenures.

He said that Turan made contribution to development of mobile communication market in Uzbekistan and development of companies of TeliaSonera in Georgia and Nepal. He welcomed Tõnu Grünberg as new Ucell CEO.

In last three years, Tõnu Grünberg was Head of Technology, TeliaSonera Business Area Eurasia. He joined Eurasian team from EMT, a leading mobile communication operator in Estonia, which is part of TeliaSonera.

Tõnu Grünberg joined EMT in 1994 and has been a member of the board since 1996. Tõnu Grünberg is a renowned opinion leader on telecommunications and information technology.
