Athletes of Uzbekistan won 71 licenses in 17 sports for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. This is a record in the history of our country in terms of sports.

Thanks to the attention paid by the President to the development of women’s sports, the number of participants in Tokyo 2020 has reached 30. This is another record for Independent Uzbekistan, which will be set in Tokyo 2020.

For the first time, 3 judokas will take part in the Tokyo Olympics on behalf of Uzbekistan, and we also have a chance to compete in a mixed team direction. It should be noted that the 12 strongest teams in the world will compete in this direction.

For the first time in history, we managed to win a license for the Olympic Games in modern pentathlon.

Oksana Chusovitina, a representative of the Uzbek national artistic gymnastics team, will become the first gymnast in the history of world sports to take part in the eight Summer Olympic Games.

For the first time in the history of national sports, two of our girls were awarded weightlifting licenses.

For the first time in its history, our national taekwondo team will take part in the Olympic Games in full force (2 + 2).

Olga Zabelinskaya will go down in history as the first Uzbek cycling athlete to take part in the Olympic Games.

Svetlana Radzivil will become the first Uzbek athlete in athletics to take part in the fourth Olympics in a row.

The most adult sportswoman of the delegation of Uzbekistan. This is the legendary Oksana Chusovitina (June 19, 1975), who will take part in Tokyo 2020 at the age of 46.

The youngest athletes of the delegation. Zainab Daiibekova and Sevara Safoeva. It is noteworthy that both girls were born on 19 November 2002. Dayibekova will defend the honor of Uzbekistan in fencing (saber), and Sevara Safoeva in group rhythmic gymnastics exercises.
