Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Tok Bor holds a dominant position in the market for electric and hybrid vehicle charging services in Uzbekistan, according to the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan.
Khalilillo Turakhodjaev, the Chairman of the Competition Committee, signed an order recognizing Tok Bor as a dominant company.
According to the committee, Tok Bor controls more than 40% of the market for electric and hybrid vehicle charging services.
Under the "Law on Competition," this is considered a sign of a dominant position.
Companies with a dominant position are required to comply with antitrust legislation. They are prohibited from setting monopolistically high or low prices, as well as from creating artificial shortages of goods.
Additionally, such companies are not allowed to impose discriminatory conditions in the sale of goods, hinder the entry of new competitors into the market, or prohibit or restrict the sale of other manufacturers’ products.
