Today, the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow to show the film "You are not an orphan"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 22 September, one of the most famous Uzbek Soviet films "You are not an orphan", directed by Shukhrat Abbasov, will be shown in Moscow in the Great Hall of the New Tretyakov Gallery as part of the "Uzbek New Wave" film program.

The plot of the film tells about orphans who found shelter, love and affection in Uzbekistan.

Time of war. Dozens of trains with children who have lost their parents arrive in Tashkent. Fatima and the blacksmith Makhkam cannot indifferently watch as street children knock around in the street. Soon, 14 children appear one by one in their house. There was not enough food. But there was parental warmth the children needed.

So, during the years of the brutal war in distant Tashkent, an amazing international family arose - a symbol of the brotherhood of peoples.

The film is shown in 35 mm projection of a copy from the collection of the State Film Fund of Russia.

The film program was curated by Nigora Karimova, a doctor of art history, a film critic, and Eldjon Abbasov, director of the Republican Film Fund under the Uzbekkino National Academy of Sciences.

The film program is timed to coincide with the Never Forever exhibition.

The national agency "Uzbekkino" together with the Republican Film Fund acted as partners of the program.
