TITF-2024: Strengthening ties and new horizons for tourism in Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The 29th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" (TITF-2024) is being held at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan (CAEx) in Tashkent.

The fair is organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee for Tourism, the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR Center," and the company "Team & Co Group."

As usual, the general partner of the event is the national airline Uzbekistan Airways, which provides comprehensive support and assistance in organizing the exhibition at the highest level.

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair is the largest informational event promoting tourism products and fostering business connections for cooperation. Over the last three decades, TITF has earned a reputation as one of the most prominent events in tourism and has become the largest event in Central Asia, annually held with the official support of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The fair brings together over 1,500 participants, both local and international organizations, 15 foreign and more than 50 local travel companies through the “Hosted Buyers” program, and over 13,000 visitors from 30 countries.

The fair is a platform for signing numerous agreements and conducting thousands of negotiations between tourism industry representatives. These figures underline the importance of TITF as a catalyst for tourism development.

This year, the fair brings together experts from the global tourism industry and is beneficial for employees of leading tourism and transportation companies, major hotel chains, diplomatic missions, educational institutions in tourism, as well as representatives of MICE tourism.

A distinctive feature of TITF-2024 is the participation of new exhibitors from Russian regions such as the Altai Republic and Vladimir Region, as well as new companies from Georgia, the Czech Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany. These companies, along with exhibitors working in emerging sectors like cruise tourism, enhance the international presence at the fair and create unique opportunities for establishing business ties and concluding partnership agreements.

Particular attention is drawn to the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, which is presenting its national pavilion for the first time at TITF-2024. Their presence highlights the growing importance of international cooperation in tourism and culture, opening new opportunities to strengthen cultural and economic ties between Uzbekistan and China.

Participation in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" (TITF) provides numerous benefits: conducting business deals, finding new partners, supporting industry development, popularizing tourism products, exploring new trends, and conducting market research.

Reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector are contributing to the attraction of major companies and representations, increasing both incoming and outgoing passenger traffic, outbound tourism, and the growing demand for all types of tourism services.
