Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Khokimiyat of Ferghana region, the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and 42 entrepreneurs of the tourism industry of Ferghana region (22 hotels, 20 tour operators) took part in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road".
During the fair, more than 551 new agreements were reached with the leading tourism enterprises of the republic. The amount of these transactions amounted to about 15 million dollars. In particular, Dilrabo Tourism and Logistics, Farg‘ona Vodiy sayyoh and Kokand Tourism tour operators held negotiations with representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Malaysia on inbound and outbound tourism.
In order to increase the flow of local and foreign tourists in the coming years, during the exhibition, representatives of the tourism industry and entrepreneurs distributed more than 2,000 advertising brochures about products and services that reflect the tourism potential of the Ferghana region.
In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Kazakhstan in the field of crafts.
The Tashkent International Tourism Fair will last until 2 December.
