Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 20 January, ticket prices for high-speed electric trains "Afrosiab" and fast trains "Sharq", "Nasaf" and "Uzbekiston" will increase by 20%. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

According to the company, prices are being increased to modernize the railway infrastructure, cover the costs of electricity and fuel, as well as raise funds to renew the fleet of cars and maintain stations.

It should be noted that on 1 November 2023, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari already increased ticket prices. Then the company increased the cost of tickets by an average of 44%, and for Afrosiab - by more than 60%.
