Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Three Uzbek citizens wanted through Interpol channels for committing serious crimes have been detained in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and extradited to Uzbekistan.

According to the National Central Bureau of Interpol under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the operation was carried out thanks to close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and the UAE.

The detainees are accused of committing economic and property-related crimes in Uzbekistan and will soon stand trial.

The agency emphasized that the number of criminals returned to the country continues to grow due to well-established bilateral cooperation.
