Three Primorye companies to recruit workers from Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Three industrial enterprises from Russia’s Primorye region have signed agreements for the organized recruitment of workers from Uzbekistan, according to the regional government’s press service.

The agreements were finalized during an official delegation visit from Primorye to Uzbekistan. Under the deal, Dobroflot, Terneyles JSC, and NK Lotos LLC will hire workers with the support of Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Behzod Musaev, head of Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency, emphasized that cooperation with Primorye’s Migration Policy Agency will help establish a more efficient labor recruitment system.

As per the agreements, Uzbekistan will handle candidate selection and professional training to meet the specific needs of Russian enterprises.

Primorye-based companies will provide social guarantees, including housing and legal employment terms for migrant workers.

Mikhail Sorokin, head of Primorye’s Migration Policy Agency, highlighted that structured recruitment will not only help attract skilled workers but also reduce illegal migration in the region.

Primorye companies reassured that hiring foreign workers will not affect local employment opportunities. Vladimir Ryabkov, deputy director of Terneyles JSC, clarified that foreign specialists are recruited only when local hiring efforts fail over several months.

Additionally, employers noted that migrant salaries match or, in some cases, exceed those of Russian workers, depending on qualifications and job intensity.

Established earlier this year, Primorye’s Migration Policy Agency is tasked with regulating migration, preventing violations, and reducing illegal labor inflows.

At the same time, organized recruitment of foreign specialists, including from Uzbekistan, is seen as a key solution to addressing labor shortages across various economic sectors in the region.
