Sports 24/03/2009 Three new faces in Kasimov’s squad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan coach Mirdjalal Kasimov has included three new faces in the provisional squad of 27 players for their FIFA World Cup qualifies against Qatar and Australia.

Pakhtakor midfielder Stanislav Andreev, goalkeeper Michael Naumov and Mashal defender Artyom Filiposyan have been included for the first time, Anvarjon Soliev, Islom Inomov and Ulugbek Bakaev have been recalled into the national squad.

Both Andreev and Filiposyan are 20-year-olds and got an opportunity to prove that they are ready for the continental stage.

The Central Asians, who are last in Group A with one point from four games, will face Qatar at home on March 28 and will take on Australia away on April 1.
