Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Law enforcement agencies in Uzbekistan have detained three more suspects connected to the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov. This was reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
As part of the investigative and operational-search activities conducted in the Kibray district of Tashkent region, three individuals involved in the crime were identified and apprehended.
Investigative actions regarding the case are ongoing, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
On the night of 26 October, unidentified individuals fired at a Range Rover in which former presidential administration official Komil Allamjonov was traveling. Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene. Fortunately, none of the occupants in the vehicle, including the driver, were harmed.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 97 in conjunction with Article 25 of the Criminal Code (attempted intentional murder), as well as under Article 248 (illegal trafficking of weapons).
Earlier, on the morning of 27 October, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported the detention of one of the suspects.
