Three Major Investment Projects Worth US$35 Million Launched in Ferghana Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ferghana region has launched the implementation of several large-scale investment projects, which officially commenced in the Kuvasay zone of the Kokand Free Economic Zone.
A ceremonial event marked the occasion, attended by Ferghana regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, business representatives, local elders, and international partners.
One of the first projects is being developed by Arborvita Pharmaceuticals LLC, which has begun construction of a pharmaceutical production plant. The initiative is led by entrepreneur Dilmurodjon Akhmedov. The total investment for the project stands at USUS$10 million, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. The facility is expected to create 400 jobs.
Another project has been launched by NF TEXTIL KIMYA LLC, which involves Turkish investment. The company will build a modern facility for the processing of chemical substances and dyes. The project also entails a USUS$10 million investment and will generate 100 jobs.
A third significant initiative is being implemented by Omina Malika LLC. In cooperation with Chinese investors and with the support of Hamkorbank, entrepreneur Nosirjon Karabayev has begun constructing a plant for the production of packaging materials, fruit and vegetable packing, and the installation of refrigeration equipment. The USUS$15 million project is expected to create 40 new jobs.
Governor Bozorov visited the construction sites, spoke with project initiators, and extended his best wishes for the successful execution of their plans. The ceremony concluded with prayers and good wishes from the elders, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the region’s economic development.
