Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to construct three hydroelectric power stations in Shakhrisabz (Kashkadarya region). This was announced at a meeting attended by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
As noted, as part of the creation of a tourist cluster in Shakhrisabz in 2025, the construction of three hydroelectric power stations is planned. The total capacity of these HPPs is expected to be 24 MW.
The stations will be built on the Aksu River, which flows through Gelon.
In addition, the project envisages the repair and expansion of the Hisorak-Gelon and Hisorak-Sarchashma roads.
The Chirakchi-Shurkuduk road will also be improved, which will reduce travel time from Samarkand to and attract more tourists.
