Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, along with many areas, favorable agreements are also reached on the energy system.

In particular, within the framework of the Germany-Uzbekistan business forum, JSC Thermal Power Plants and Siemens Energy signed an agreement for 72 million euros for the installation of an energy-efficient gas turbine in a 3-boiler enterprise Teploenergo in Bukhara and at the Mubarek thermal power plant. This was reported by the press service of JSC Thermal Power Plants.

According to this project, which is assessed as a logical continuation of ongoing work on the introduction of cogeneration technologies in our country, 4 gas turbines will be installed in the 3-boiler plant of the Teploenergo enterprise in Bukhara and at the Mubarek CHPP, two in each enterprise, with a capacity of 54 MW each .

With the commissioning of these projects, the total capacity of electricity produced in our country will increase by 216 MW. According to preliminary calculations, this will make it possible to generate 1.7 million kWh of electrical energy and 1.5 Gcal of thermal energy per year.

About 80 additional jobs will also be created. During the implementation of the projects, it will be possible to provide jobs for thousands of qualified specialists of the country.
