Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 October, within the framework of the IT-Education forum, a meeting was held between the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT-Park and Coursera Inc. Now 1.2 million Uzbeks have the opportunity to get free online education, learn modern knowledge and become holders of certificates from Coursera.
“The main tool for achieving the success of the project is the people who implement this project. Organization of the work of the team at all phases of the project life cycle, management of the development of the team at various stages of its existence - these and other tasks must be solved in order to ensure the effective use of the people involved in the project," Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov said in his speech.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a memorandum, according to which, from 2023, 1.2 million boys and girls will be able to take online courses in 3 main areas of IT (front end, Python course, IT-English) on the Coursera platform and receive the corresponding certificates.
It is worth noting that Coursera is an international open online education platform that offers a set of information and educational programs, including interactive projects with industry experts, courses, specializations, certification programs, and also cooperates with world-leading companies and universities such as Illinois, Duke, Google, IBM, Stanford, Imperial College London and others.
