The World Society takes part in the Tashkent International Book Fair "Tashkent Book Fest"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan presented its books at the Tashkent International Book Fair "Tashkent Book Fest". The stand of the World Society has become one of the largest, brightest and most visited at the exhibition.

The stand presents books of the series "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world", "Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan", as well as facsimile editions of ancient manuscripts and richly illustrated gift editions "Begzad", "Ceramics of Rishtan" and "Masterpieces of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan".

The guests of the international book fair shared their impressions about the stand and the presented books, as well as about the organized fair.

Sirojiddin Saidov, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan:

- The role of the book in the education of young people is difficult to overestimate. A person who reads books has a broad outlook and learns to passionately love the Motherland. The President of our country, dear Shavkat Mirziyoyev, emphasized that the country has no future without a book. And we, the writers of Uzbekistan, support the head of our state in every possible way. Indeed, the book plays an indispensable role in the education of young people.

Alisher Kadyrov, leader of the Milliy Tiklanish party:

- I’m just amazed! This is not a new feeling - I am already familiar with the books of the series "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world." But now, seeing everything in such a volume, in such quantity, I never cease to admire. Such a reverent attitude to our culture, history, our ancestors is worthy of respect and the highest appreciation. We are always ready to support this project and preserve our cultural heritage together.

Evgeny Sklyarevsky, blogger, author of the site "Letters about Tashkent":

- Stand is very strong and favorably different from the rest. These blue books are very recognizable and familiar, I have the first 10 volumes and I study them with great pleasure. Also, as a lover of ornaments, I am pleased to see the series “Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan”. I discovered a lot of new and interesting things in these books.

Boris Babaev, journalist, editor of the site kultura.uz:

- Approaching this stand is a real pleasure. I have been following the work and development of the project “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” for a long time and admire more and more - there are so many interesting things! Books are more valuable than one another. Can’t believe this is possible. This is a colossal, titanic work!

We recently completed a film about the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, and there we talk separately about this wonderful project.

Alexandra Degraf, designer, USA:

- Absolutely stunning editions, exceptional! It can be seen that they were created with love, by professionals and for professionals. As a designer, such books are very important and interesting to me. From them I can get information about the culture and art of Uzbekistan, in particular, textiles, get acquainted with national patterns and ornaments. And the beauty of publications already gives inspiration.

The book fair "Tashkent Book Fest" will last until 4 November.

The project "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world" is a visiting card of New Uzbekistan. The President of the country Shavkat Mirziyoyev elevated the careful preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan to the rank of state policy.
