Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October this year, a meeting was held in the building of the khokimiyat of Tashkent region (Nurafshan city) under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, dedicated to the analysis of the current state of economic and social development, investment and export activities of the region.

The meeting was attended by khokims of cities and districts of Tashkent region and their deputies for investment and foreign trade.

The progress of the implementation of regional investment programs and the current state of large industrial projects commissioned this year were discussed.

In particular, a stable trend was noted towards reaching full capacity of the project for the production of lyophiles and syringes of Zuma Pharma LLC in Parkent district, where about 300 new jobs were created, as well as the project for the production of thermal insulation materials at Angren Insulation LLC in the city of Angren, where more than 200 new jobs and a large factory for the production of textile and knitwear products of Dynamic Textile LLC in the Yangiyul district, where 300 specialists work. 

The heads of industry associations and local authorities presented detailed reports on the ongoing work on the timely and high-quality implementation of 500 projects and the creation of 17.6 thousand new jobs on them by the end of this year.

The measures taken to increase exports to US$1 billion, which is 32% more than last year, as well as to ensure the development of foreign direct investment and loans in the amount of US$416 million, were discussed separately.

Based on the results of the meeting, the responsible managers were given additional targeted instructions for the high-quality and timely implementation of the tasks set.
