Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November, in the format of a video conference, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the competition for the development of the best state mobile application "mGovAward" among students of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan.

The competition for the development of the best state mobile applications "mGovAward" was organized by IT Park with the support of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Government Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

The competition started on 26 September 2019. A total of 260 applications were submitted for participation in the competition, 97 of which were selected for participation in the competition. The final included representatives of the teams that developed seven mobile applications in the fields of education, healthcare, tourism and business development.

Following the popular vote, the winner was the team that developed the Roboteach app for distance learning. The second place went to the creators of the Imam Bukhari (Seven Pirs) mobile app for visiting shrines, and the third place went to the developers of the Sahiya app to help people with disabilities. 

The winners and prize-winners of the competition received prizes of US$50,000, US$30,000 and US$20,000, respectively.
