Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of the passenger car market in Uzbekistan in 2023 made up 456,300 units. This was reported by Gazeta.uz with reference to a presentation at the ADM Jizzakh automobile plant, which the President of Uzbekistan visited on Monday.

According to the presentation, UzAuto Motors took first place. The company produced 369,990 cars for a total value of US$4.85 billion. The company’s market share is 81%. The average price of one UzAuto Motors car was US$13,100.

ADM Jizzakh company produced 25,000 cars worth US$823 million. The company’s market share is 5.5%. The average price of one car was US$32,900.

The rest of the market comes from imported cars. In particular, the Chinese company BYD sold 8,948 cars worth US$291 million. The average price of a car was US$32.5 thousand.

In Uzbekistan in 2023, 50,435 cars of other brands were sold for US$1.197 billion (an average of US$23.7 thousand per car). The country still had production of 1,965 cars.

During 2023, almost 395,830 cars were produced in Uzbekistan.
