The volume of problem loans from banks reaches 6.84 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of bad loans of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 October 2020 reached 6.84 trillion soums, according to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

According to the regulator, the volume of the loan portfolio of commercial banks as of 1 October 2020 is 260.71 trillion soums. The share of bad loans in the total loan portfolio is 2.6%.

The loan portfolio of banks with a state share exceeds 230.58 trillion soums, of which 6.27 trillion soums are bad (share - 2.7%).

Other banks have allocated loans in the amount of 30.12 trillion soums. The volume of bad loans is 566 billion soums (1.9%).

National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2.28 trillion soums) and Asaka (1.29 trillion soums) have the largest volume of bad loans.
