Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Uzdaily.com) -- As of 1 January 2024, the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan made up US$34.56 billion, according to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan in December increased by almost US$1.67 billion.
The amount of foreign exchange assets in December 2023 amounted to US$9.36 billion, which is US$751.3 million more compared to the beginning of December.
The volume of deposits of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in the central banks of other countries, as well as in the IMF, increased from US$336.1 million to US$566.8 million in December 2023.
The gold supply of Uzbekistan grew to US$24.63 billion, which is US$906.3 million higher than a month earlier.
The physical volume of gold in December increased by 2.5% - 11.9 million troy ounces.
