Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A Presidential resolution "On measures to transform and accelerate the privatization of large enterprises with state participation" was adopted.

In accordance with the Resolution, it was approved:

- a list of blocks of shares (shares) put up for public auction on the international market with the involvement of professional consultants;

- a list of large enterprises with state participation, the initial (IPO) and (or) secondary (SPO) public offering of shares of which will be held on the international stock market;

- the composition of the working groups responsible for coordinating the work on the pre-privatization preparation of blocks of shares (shares) in the authorized capital of large enterprises with state participation (working groups).

One of the main tasks of the working groups is to coordinate the involvement of professional consultants to organize bidding processes and achieve stable indicators of reputable international rating organizations by large enterprises with state participation.

International consultants and organizations providing legal services are engaged by UzAssets Investment Company JSC to prepare for the privatization of large enterprises with state participation, attract trust managers and coordinate these processes.

From 1 July 2024, at large enterprises with state participation:

- a corporate secretariat will be created, reporting to the Supervisory Board, to improve the corporate governance system, in particular, to further improve the efficiency of the management bodies;

- updated corporate governance rules and code of ethics will be implemented;

- it will be possible to issue the minutes of the Supervisory Board remotely using information and communication technologies through electronic voting ballots.
