The tourism potential of Uzbekistan presented in Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Development of tourism and compatriots in Japan organized a festive event in Nagoya, dedicated to the spring holiday of Navruz. The event was attended by representatives of the public of the city, political, cultural and business circles, as well as the media.

In order to actively promote tourism brand of Uzbekistan, during the event, a tasting of Uzbek cuisine dishes was organized and national costumes were presented, and the participants were familiarized with the traditions associated with the spring holiday.

In addition, the Japanese side was informed about the broad celebration of Nowruz in Uzbekistan, in particular, about the organization of folk festivals, national musical performances, traditions of making sumalak, green samsa and other dishes. The press service of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

Every year, traditional festivals dedicated to the Spring Festival are held in Japan. Also this year, with the support of the State Committee for Tourism, a broad celebration of Navruz was organized in Nagoya. The materials provided by the Committee about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Japanese were distributed among the local population. Japanese friends show great interest in our region - said our compatriot living in Nagoya, a student of the Nagoya University of Economics, Mirzhalol Mengboev.

We are pleased that today we have the opportunity to get closer acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Uzbek people. Uzbekistan has ancient, centuries-old traditions, and the celebration of Nowruz is one of them. This holiday is distinguished by its originality, beauty, and also deep meaning. Congratulations to all Uzbeks with a wonderful event.

Events during which the Japanese will be able to familiarize themselves with the tourism potential and reforms in the sphere of tourism in Uzbekistan will continue until March 23. In addition, in 2019, the State Committee for Tourism Development and our compatriots in Japan are planning to organize a series of events to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
