Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team defender Abdulkodir Khusanov made his debut for Manchester City in their Premier League match against Chelsea. However, his first outing on the field proved to be a challenging one.

Just two minutes into the match, Khusanov made an error that led to a goal scored by Noni Madueke. Only two minutes later, he received his first yellow card in the Premier League for a foul on Cole Palmer.

Despite this rocky start, Khusanov redeemed himself in the 10th minute with a crucial defensive play, blocking a shot from Jadon Sancho. Later, in the 42nd minute, Josko Gvardiol equalized for Manchester City, bringing them back into the game.

In the 53rd minute, head coach Pep Guardiola substituted Khusanov. As the 20-year-old left the pitch, he received applause from the home fans, and Guardiola greeted him warmly on the bench.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville commented on Khusanov’s debut: "This young man is only 20 years old, and those three minutes were probably the toughest of his life. He needs support from the players around him."

Khusanov’s Premier League debut marked a historic moment for Uzbek football, as he became the first player from Uzbekistan to play in the league.

Manchester City went on to secure a 3-1 victory in the match.
