Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The total volume of bank deposits in Uzbekistan as of 1 December 2022 made up 216.54 trillion soums, according to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
Compared to October 2020, the volume of deposits increased by 4.85% or 10.02 trillion soums.
The volume of deposits of individuals in November increased by 2.85% or 1.61 trillion soums and amounted to 57.79 trillion soums.
Individuals prefer to keep their funds in non-state banks. According to the central bank, the population keep funds in non-state banks in the amount of 29.31 trillion soums, and in state banks - 28.47 trillion soums.
Kapitalbank (10.8 trillion soums), National Bank (7.46 trillion soums) and Agrobank (4.26 trillion soums) lead in terms of attracted deposits from individuals.
The volume of deposits of legal entities as of 1 December 2022 exceeded 158.75 trillion soums, of which 109.3 trillion soums accounted for by state-owned banks, and 49.45 trillion soums - non-state banks.
National Bank (37.39 trillion soums), Asala Bank (12.83 trillion soums) and Kapitalbank (12.79 trillion soums) are leaders in terms of attracted deposits of the legal entities.
