The total aggregate income of the population reaches 284.7 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the State Statistics Committee, according to preliminary data, in January-September 2020, the total income of the population of Uzbekistan reached 284.7 trillion soums.

In order to exclude the influence of price factors for calculating the real growth rate of household income, the consumer price index (CPI) is used - one of the important types of inflation indicator. Due to changes in consumer prices, the total income of the population, compared to the same period of 2019, in real terms decreased by 0.3%.

The total income of the population in the Republic of Uzbekistan for January-September 2020 (for nine months), the average per capita nominal total income of the population above the average republican value was noted in Tashkent city – 16.36 million soums, Navoi region – 13.51 million soums, Bukhara region – 10.48 million soums, Tashkent region – 8.78 million soums and Khorezm region – 8.6 million soums.

For January-September 2020 (for nine months), the lowest indicator (average per capita nominal total income of the population was recorded in Ferghana region – 6.27 million soums, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan – 6.37 million soums and Namangan region – 6.56 million soums

In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from labor activity (income of employees and income from self-employment) was observed in Navoi region (82.6%). On the contrary, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Samarkand, Ferghana, Surkhandarya, Andijan, Namangan, Kashkadarya regions and the city of Tashkent, it was below the national average.

Also, in Samarkand, Khorezm, Surkhandarya, Andijan regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the share of income from transfers made up more than 30% of the total income of the population.

In January-September 2020, the share of the total income of employees among the population was 27.5%. The growth rates of their incomes in the past period reached 9.0%, which ensured an increase in the nominal income of the population by 2.6%.

The highest nominal growth rates of wage earners’ incomes were noted in Navoi region (117.4%), Tashkent city (114.1%), Surkhandarya (109.9%), Bukhara (109.2%) and Jizzakh (109.1%) ) areas.

In the total income of the regions, the largest share of income received from self-employment was observed in Jizzakh region (57.7%). In contrast, in the city of Tashkent and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, it was below the national average.

With an increase in income from self-employment by 1%, the total volume of total income increases by 0.41%.

The largest share of income from self-employment was noted in Samarkand (11.2%), Tashkent (10.1%) and Kashkadarya (9.6%) regions.

The regions with the lowest share are Syrdarya region (2.6%), Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3%) and Navoi (5.0%) region.

The nominal growth rate of income from property, according to preliminary data for January-September 2020 against the corresponding period of the previous year, amounted to 130.0%. The highest growth rates were noted in the Jizzakh region - 154.2% and the Republic of Karakalpakstan -151.0%.

In January-September 2020, 5.2 trillion soums of benefits and material assistance were allocated for social support of the population. Of these, the off-budget Pension Fund financed 50.5% of insurance benefits, 49.5% was allocated from the republican and local budgets.

According to preliminary data for January-September 2020, out of the total volume of the total income of the population, the share of income received from small businesses amounted to 58.1%. 

So, in the structure of the aggregate income of the regions, it differs: the highest share was recorded in Jizzakh region - 68.1%. The smallest share of income received from small businesses was recorded in the city of Tashkent - 44.7%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 48.8%, as well as in Navoi - 51.6% and Ferghana - 57.0%.
