Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The draft Constitution of Uzbekistan proposes to increase the term of office of President from 5 to 7 years.

The Constitutional Law will enter into force on the day of the official publication of the results of the referendum by the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan. Articles in the draft basic law became 155 (was 128). It is reported by Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The referendum will be held on 30 April 2023.
