Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The II Military Sports Games among cadets of higher military educational institutions of the Commonwealth member states ended in Tashkent. They were attended by representatives of military universities of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

- The main goal of military sports games is the development and promotion of mass sports among military personnel. The guys showed a good result, but there is something to strive for and something to work on. After analyzing the performances of the participants, we will strengthen the training of our athletes, - said the chairman of the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the head of the Central Sports Club, Lieutenant Colonel Arman Abeuov.

Athletes competed in six disciplines: army hand-to-hand combat, all-around, paramilitary cross-country, mini-football, shooting from a Makarov pistol (PM-3) and from a Kalashnikov assault rifle (AK-3).

Kazakhstan was represented by 26 cadets who brought the national team the third place. The Russians are in second place. The first place was won by the hosts of the games - cadets of military universities in Uzbekistan.
