Ikramov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Midnight of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Turkey A. Agzamhodjaev, Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Majidov, Head of the State Inspection for Quality Supervision Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. Tashkenbaev, Rector of TSUE K. Sharipov.
President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıklıoglu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Mehmet Suraya, Secretary General of the ECO CCI Adem Kula, Rector of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey under the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey "TOBB" Guven Sak, as well as co-chairman of the joint Uzbek-Turkish CCI Osman Sahlan attended the event.
At the event, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov made an opening speech, where he expressed gratitude to the President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarjikly oglu and the staff of the TOBB ETU University for their significant contribution to the creation of the Tashkent branch of the university.
It should be noted that during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey, on 19 February, Ankara hosted the first meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Council for Strategic Cooperation of the highest level, as a result of which the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey signed Memorandum on the opening in Tashkent of a branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey at the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
On 17 June 2020, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 389 was adopted on the opening of a branch of the Turkish University of Economics and Technology TOBB ETU in Tashkent.
The branch of the university is located in the capital and will train specialists in the direction of business and entrepreneurship based on the dual education system. The training will last for three terms.
Students have a unique opportunity to travel to Turkey. In the third trimester, they will get acquainted with the activities of leading Turkish companies and well-known entrepreneurs, and will also undertake internships in large enterprises in the field of the electrical industry, in the textile and fruit and vegetable clusters in Turkey. All this will take place with the provision of food and accommodation.
It is worth noting a number of benefits and preferences that will be allocated for gifted and low-income students by the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
