The State Tax Committee starts process of creating passports to entrepreneurs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Tax Committee in the form of an experiment began the process of certification of entrepreneurs in Mirzo-Uluges district of Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the department.

On 26 June, the President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On measures for basic improvement of the activity of the State Tax Service”.

According to the document, from 1 October 2018, the state tax service authorities will conduct passportization of taxpayers with the drawing up of an inspection report, which is the basis for calculating taxes and other mandatory payments.

Appropriate measures to compile passports of business entities, to check their location, to study the actual type of activity, to compare the actual number with the specified in the reporting, to identify entrepreneurs operating without the relevant documents are being conducted as an experiment in 54 mahallas in Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

The State Tax Inspectorate of Mirzo-Ulugbek district created 17 working groups comprising employees of the finance department of the Tashkent city administration, commercial banks of the district, the state tax administration and the inspection.

According to the available data, 7891 economic entities were registered in the district, of them 6,197 legal entities and 1,724 - individual entrepreneurs.

As of 19 August, the members of the working group compiled 6,083 passports of the business entity, a database was formed.

Of these, 1,172 business entities are engaged in retail trade, 342 - public catering, 576 - manufacturing activities, 238 - construction, 2,554 - rendering services, 1,035 - individual entrepreneurs.

Also, in the process of passportization, conducted in accordance with the established procedure, it was revealed that 166 citizens were engaged in business without state registration. After they were warned about the need to go through the state registration on time, another 108 citizens passed state registration as individual entrepreneurs.

The process all helped to find our persons, who worked unofficially.
