Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Fund for Entrepreneurship Support provides 2 types of financial support to small businesses - surety and compensation, Shavkat Usmanov, head of the Fund’s department, said.

A guarantee is the imposition of the borrower’s responsibility for the fulfillment of its obligations to a commercial bank on the state fund for supporting entrepreneurial activity.

Compensation is the reimbursement of part of the interest rate on a loan provided by commercial banks to business entities.

Over the past 6 months, the fund has provided financial assistance in the amount of 1.3 trillion soums. In particular, for 810 billion soums on 891 guaranteed projects, and for almost 443 billion soums on 2,844 compensation projects.
