Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first half of 2020, 2,584 financial control measures were carried out based on the work plan, instructions from the government and law enforcement agencies.

The main part - 2010 events (79%) - concerned the targeted use of budget funds. Violations of budget discipline, deficit of cash and material assets in the amount of 81.7 billion soums were revealed. As a result of the measures taken, 57.4 billion soums (70%) of illegally spent funds were returned to the respective budgets.

The analysis of violations and other shortcomings revealed in the reporting period by ministries showed the following:

In 235 of the 297 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Public Education, violations were identified in the amount of 21.5 billion soums, which is 2.5 times more compared to the corresponding period of 2019 (9 billion soums).

In 205 out of 285 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Health, violations amounting to 14.1 billion soums were revealed, which is 2.3 times more compared to the same period in 2019 (6.1 billion soums).

In 119 of 151 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Preschool Education, violations in the amount of 6.9 billion soums were identified, which is 1.4 times more compared to the corresponding period of 2019 (4.3 billion soums).

In 162 of 170 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Culture, violations in the amount of 2.6 billion soums were revealed, which is almost 2 times more compared to the same period in 2019 (1.4 billion soums).

In 154 of 168 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, violations in the amount of 2 billion soums were revealed, which is 3.4 times more than in the corresponding period of 2019 (0.5 billion soums).

In 29 out of 33 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Water Resources, violations in the amount of 1.4 billion soums were revealed.

Fifteen of 18 control measures carried out in the system of the Ministry of Housing and Utilities Services revealed violations in the amount of 0.9 billion soums, which is more than 2 times more compared to the corresponding period of 2019 (0.4 billion soums).

In addition, 78 out of 85 control measures carried out in the engineering companies "Service of a single customer" under the khokimiyats revealed violations in the amount of 4 billion soums, which is 1.4 times more compared to the same period in 2019 (2.8 billion soums ).

Also, cases of large-scale offenses were found in organizations receiving funds from the budget in Andijan (8.9 billion soums), Kashkadarya (8.2 billion), Tashkent (6.2 billion), Jizzakh (5.5 billion), Surkhandarya (5.4 billion), Namangan (4.6 billion), Fergana (4.4 billion) regions, Tashkent city (7.9 billion) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (5.5 billion soums).

Fines in the amount of 35 million soums were imposed on 47 heads and other officials of organizations receiving funds from the budget for violating budget legislation.

In addition, materials on cases of violations for 79.4 billion soums, revealed during 1246 control measures, were sent to law enforcement agencies to take measures in line with the law.
