Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Duma of Russia ratified an international agreement with Uzbekistan on the opening of representative offices of customs services.
The agreement involves the opening of customs offices of the two countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted the agreement for ratification to the State Duma on July 8.
According to the agreement, representative offices will represent the interests of the customs service of their state on customs regulation issues, assist in the development of customs cooperation between states, and participate in activities to implement international treaties of states in the field of customs.
On 13 July, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution approving this agreement.
It should be noted that the Governments of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation signed an agreement on opening representative offices of the customs service in Samarkand on 2 December 2022.
