Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State kindergartens will cover the cost of food for some pupils from the state budget.

This is provided for by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan from 29 December 2023 (UP-221).

This measure applies to children exempt from paying parental contributions to state preschool educational organizations.

According to the decision, the cost of food for such pupils will be fully covered from the state budget.

In addition, until 1 January 2030, the rate of social tax on wages and related payments, which are financed from extra-budgetary funds of institutions and organizations in the system of preschool and school education (except for the central office of the Ministry and its territorial divisions), is set at 1%.
