Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of revenues to the state budget of Uzbekistan in 2023 reached 165.9 trillion soums This was stated by the press service of the Tax Committee.
Compared to 2022, budget revenues increased by 17.4 trillion soums.
The Tax Committee emphasizes that all regions of Uzbekistan have fulfilled the annual revenue forecast. The additional revenue amounted to 3.4 trillion soums.
It is noted that tax revenues in the regions increased by 13% compared to 2022.
High growth rates were recorded in Jizzakh (30%), Syrdarya (21%), Tashkent (19%) and Navoi (18%) regions.
The Tax Committee emphasizes that the imposition of financial fines on business entities in the amount of 1.3 trillion soums has also been prevented.
The reduction in the VAT rate from 15% to 12% from 2023 made it possible to leave 9 trillion soums at the disposal of business entities and consumers.
Despite the reduction in the rate as a result of the correct establishment of VAT administration, 34 trillion soums were paid to the budget for this type of tax, and revenues increased by 1.2 trillion soums or 4% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
