Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 June, the eighth international cultural and educational forum of the CIS member states "Children of the Commonwealth" ended at the Semurg children’s camp in Tashkent region. Representatives of all delegations spoke at the closing ceremony of the forum.

The Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Dmitry Kobitsky thanked the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the excellent organization of the forum and the warm welcome to students from schools in the Commonwealth countries.

All representatives of the CIS member states, that is, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, were solemnly awarded certificates and diplomas.

During the event, each delegation performed solo vocal performances, dances, played melodies on national musical instruments, reflecting the traditions and customs of their country.

Representatives of the CIS member states emphasized that it does not matter where they come from and what nationality they are, they are all people of the same planet, and the forum was able to confirm this once again.

At the end of the event, representatives of all countries adopted a new resolution, in which they expressed the views and proposals of each participant and determined their position on the implementation of the goals and plans put forward by the younger generation.

From 21 June, the eighth international cultural and educational forum of the CIS member states “Children of the Commonwealth” has been held in Uzbekistan.

The forum is organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states.
