The Services Sector Remains a Key Driver of Uzbekistan’s GDP Growth
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the services sector accounted for 56.1% of Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2025.
During this period, the sector contributed 3.8 percentage points to GDP growth, underscoring its steady role in the country’s economic development.
For comparison, the contribution stood at 3.9 percentage points in the same period of 2024 and 3.6 percentage points in January–March 2023.
This indicates that the services sector continues to play a significant role in driving economic growth, serving as an important source of employment, investment, and domestic demand.
