Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the law "On the ratification of the agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the demarcation of the Kazakh-Uzbek state border."

The purpose of the law is the international legal consolidation of the legal basis for the demarcation of the state border line between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

“The adopted law envisages the demarcation of the state border between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Undoubtedly, it will further strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two fraternal countries,” said Maulen Ashimbaev, Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that the agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the demarcation of the Kazakh-Uzbek state border was signed in December 2022.

The document was signed during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Uzbekistan.
